With all the designs available, there is surely something that you will love. Gelaskins also gives you the chance to be an artist yourself and create a design or pattern for your iPad. All ports and controls are easily accessible with Gelaskins. Perfect cut-outs that do not interfere with the camera lens at the back of your iPad and other ports and buttons.
Materials
Gelaskins is a vinyl decal that is made from exceptional 3M material. It will leave no residue upon removing it from your device. The color is definitely striking especially with its glossy finish. The design is called The Enamored Whale for The new iPad & iPad 2 by Alberto Cerriteno.
Pricing
The price varies depending upon your device. The larger your gadget is, the more it will become expensive. Gelaskins for iPhone costs $14.95 while the new iPad version retails for $29.95 on their official website.
What we love
It is a cool way to protect your device as it adds a distinctive design that definitely won’t add thickness to your gadget. Gelaskins has a lot of designs to choose from. Browse their gallery and for sure you can find something that is within your taste. The application is extremely easy and you can easily push out the bubbles upon sticking it on your device, for a bubble-free flawless installation. You can re-apply it (although we did not try it and it is not really recommended by Gelaskins). The patterned wallpaper also works great and looks nice, too!
What we think could improve
The back part covers the Apple logo but it’s not really a big thing. The SIM card is also not easily accessible as there is no cut-out designed for it. It does not come with a squeegee or a cleaning cloth to put away those air bubbles but it has instructions on how to stick it on your device.
Verdict
Gelaskins wraps your device beautifully, protects it from scratches and gives you a look that can be patterned on your wallpaper. Definitely a great solution for everyone who wants a unique protection that is simply minimalistic. Partner it with an Apple Smart Cover and this thing looks tremendously beautiful and protected.
