The front is almost identical to the Apple’s Smart Cover. It also has the same functions as it can sleep/wake your New iPad by just closing and opening the lid. It is a much needed feature for every case that covers the screen of the iPad and was glad that everyone is following suit.

What we love

MicroShell Folio has a great rear design that supports multiple viewing angles – great for typing, watching movies, and Facetime. It is a very nice low profile sleek case that gets the job done. Complete access to all buttons and ports with crisp cut-outs to the camera, speaker, dock connector, sleep/wake and the headphone jack. Marware does not complicate things as the installation can be made in a jiffy, as well as the removal process.  Everything is user-friendly indeed. It also has an additional manual if you’re not really sure how.

What we dislike

Keep away those greasy and oily hands of yours because the back shell of the black one is an oil magnet and you need to wipe it constantly for it to be removed. We think that this problem isn’t very obvious with the silver case.

Installation is easy you just need to slide your iPad around the right edges and then press the upper left and the lower left edge part of the device. You will hear it snap as an assurance that it is safe and secured. The removal process is just a reverse on how to install the cover which is also fairly easy. If you are still having a hard time with the installation (which I really doubt) there is an included directional manual.

You also have a complete access to all the ports and buttons with the seamless cut-outs from the camera all the way to the speaker. This new iPad case can shield your tablet from super light drops and it offers defense against scratches and minor bumps. It also has a complete protection on the corners.

What we love

Marware Microshell is a thin back cover that looks great and feels great as well. The grip to the case is above average, non-slippery and the form factor gives an additional plus. The installation and removal process are both a piece of cake. This iPad cover also has perfectly aligned cut-outs for the ports and buttons as well as for the speaker box. It even fits an iPad 2. The fitting is also nice and firm. It also works harmoniously with Apple’s Smart Cover.

What we dislike

This cover is very difficult to fit with Gelaskins on. I suppose it is the same with other stickers. The level of protection could be improved but for a case this thin, it is already solid.

Verdict

Marware Microshell is the perfect partner for your Apple Smart Cover. This new iPad case is definitely another quality product that people will actually love. Marware sure knows what’s best for your device.

There are thin rubber strips on both side edges allowing the case to become a sturdy viewing stand. It also has a fold-away flap to transform it into a low-angle typing stand which is great forcomposing emails or documents. A stylus slot is provided on the edge so you can bring a pen with you anywhere with your iPad. However, just remember to remove it because you can’t use the viewing stand with the stylus on.

What We Love

We like the EcoVue case as it offers solid defense to your iPad. It’s also good to note that the process of making the leather cover is less harmful to the environment compared to other leather cases. EcoVue also provides two useful stands – the horizontal viewing stand which is great for watching videos; and the typing stand for emails and letters.Furthermore, the integrated hand and elastic straps add more security in grasping your iPad better.

What We Dislike

There is only one thing that we didn’t find acceptable. The hinge is not properly constructed so you need to align the cover for the sleep/wake function to work correctly.

Verdict

EcoVue is another great case from Marware. It provides numerous functions that have been cleverly designed for you to maximize the use of both the case and your device.

What We Love

What We Dislike

What we love

We definitely adore the materials that Sena used to create this cover. The magnetic closure is a great battery life saver which allows us to use the new iPad for a longer time. The velvet lining feels extremely soft to touch and it even includes a protective layer that adds further defense. The ports and controls are also easily accessible since the cutouts are accurate and quite wide. Another great feature is its stand which offers two alternate positions. But the best thing about this case is the quality of work given in making each one. We love the fact that each case is individually handcrafted.

What we dislike

The thing that we weren’t very crazy about is the raised and loose fitting of the border near the home button and the front camera. But perhaps it will have a snug feel after using it for a while. There’s also a tendency to leave the border mark on the velvet interior. Just don’t forget to clean or wipe it once in a while.

Verdict 

The Magnetic Florence from Sena is undoubtedly a beautiful leather case. The quality of work is evident in each cover as it is carefully and individually handmade. Although it has a couple of minor drawbacks, this case has more useful functions to offer.
